Summer Internship 2027 - Financial Services Commission

About the role

The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission is running a Summer Internship Programme for tertiary-level students. It offers a chance to step into a professional environment, develop workplace skills, meet experienced professionals and learn about the financial services regulatory industry. Placements depend on the division, so no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with everyday administrative and operational activities such as research, data entry and document preparation.
• Support departmental projects, meetings, training sessions and special assignments.
• Shadow experienced professionals to understand how the Commission operates.
• Help with digital filing, recordkeeping and document management.
• Collaborate with team members and build communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
• Gain exposure to the Commission's regulatory responsibilities and the financial services sector.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled full-time at a college, university or other recognised tertiary institution.
• Interest in finance, law, business administration, human resources, information technology or a related field.
• Positive attitude, good written and verbal communication, and strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to take initiative, follow instructions and respect professionalism, reliability and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
