Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Moorings is hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor in Tortola, British Virgin Islands, to work across several restaurants and bars within the resort. You will provide efficient, fast, professional and courteous service to guests, including holidaymakers from around the world, and report to the F&B Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Work between multiple restaurants and supervise the day-to-day setup of restaurants, bars and function spaces, including changing table layouts for events
• Welcome guests, seat them promptly, introduce their server and take drink orders when needed
• Ensure guests are seated, served and attended to in line with Standard Operating Procedures, and regularly check they are satisfied
• Delegate tasks to restaurant and bar staff and supervise their performance
• Maintain a fully stocked inventory, order supplies, manage dining reservations and coordinate with suppliers on deliveries
• Take cash and card payments accurately and balance the cash register at the end of each shift
• Record daily checklists, arrange cover for staff taking time off, schedule shifts and help staff resolve on-the-job issues
• Support bar, poolside areas, kitchen duties and events when required, and open or close the restaurant and bar
• Handle guest complaints gracefully, report maintenance and training needs, and follow your manager's directives

• 5-star level customer service skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
• Excellent communication skills and a responsible, trustworthy attitude
• Availability to work weekends, public holidays and shift work, including evenings
