About the role
The BVI Financial Services Commission seeks a motivated Regulator II to join its Compliance Inspection Unit. The role focuses on AML/CFT and prudential inspections, conducting full‑scope and thematic examinations of regulated entities.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing compliance monitoring and risk assessments using the Commission’s Risk Assessment Framework.
- Plan, execute, and report on onsite inspections, acting as Lead Regulator for small licensees.
- Prepare and edit inspection reports, make corrective action recommendations, and present findings to statutory committees and the FSC Board.
- Ensure alignment with international standards such as IOSCO, Basel, FATF, and others.
- Undertake ad‑hoc projects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management or related field, or an associate degree with four years relevant experience.
- Professional qualifications in Anti‑Money Laundering, fraud prevention, or regulatory supervision are a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and time‑management skills with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of domestic AML legislation and international supervision standards.
