Senior Associate Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified lawyer with 4–6 years post‑qualification experience to join our growing professional practice in the British Virgin Islands. The role offers the chance to work on high‑quality commercial, conveyancing and private‑client matters while enjoying the Caribbean lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Handle residential and commercial real estate transactions and conveyancing.
• Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and general corporate matters.
• Provide estate‑planning, wills, trusts and succession advice.
• Deliver private‑client advisory services to local and international high‑net‑worth clients.
• Manage property acquisitions, sales, leases and related documentation.
• Conduct due‑diligence and transaction management.
• Prepare and review legal agreements and corporate documents.
• Research and analyse BVI and other common‑law principles.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• LLB or equivalent from a recognised common‑law university (UWI, UK or similar).
• Approximately 4–6 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable Caribbean, UK or other common‑law firm.
• Strong practical experience in conveyancing, real estate and commercial/corporate law.
• Experience with wills, estates, trusts or estate planning.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proven drafting, analytical and client‑management abilities.
• Confidence to work independently while collaborating with senior lawyers.
• Experience with private or international clients, financial services, trusts or offshore structures is a plus.
